His ordinary life was disrupted by a strange event that granted sorcerous powers to those with potential - including Fumihiko, who gained the power to make comedy supplant reality!

Now a player in the world of curses and sorcerers, Fumihiko uses his bizarre abilities to fight enemies and lighten even the darkest moments. However, his eccentric personality and tendency to turn everything into a joke leave allies wondering if he's a genius - or a complete lunatic.

Takaba thrives on chaos, often cracking jokes in inappropriate situations and using humour to defuse tension. His unique perspective on life and curses gives him an unconventional approach to combat and relationships.

Beneath the clownish exterior, however, lies a man who struggles with self-worth and struggles to make deep connections. He often fights his insecurities, though he does genuinely want to make the world laugh.

As a kid he was naturally cold and direct, which is maybe his core personality, and used comedy to make friends. As a result he over-relies on comedy to encourage people to know him.

Appearance

Fumihiko is tall and well-built, exuding a strong physical presence. His slicked-back black hair and long sideburns give him a distinctive look. He alternates between simple casual outfits, classic suits, and a unique 'superhero' costume - a suit split down the middle with the right side showing bare skin. He's very expressive and has no poker face whatsoever.

Abilities

Fumihiko's ability, "Comedian," allows him to manifest any phenomenon he is absolutely, 100% certain will be funny. The smallest doubts of his comedic abilities will cause the effects to falter.

For example, if he finds the idea of an opponent slipping on a banana peel hilarious, the enemy will suddenly find itself tumbling on an inexplicable peel mid-fight. Most of the time he just performs actions that make no sense e.g. deflecting an explosive with a paper fan. But the more extreme version effectively creates a situation and forces participation, and when giving it his all, it starts to integrate an opponent's thoughts into the scenarios as feedback, souls resonating. This lets others impact the scenes.

Despite the limitless potential of his ability, Fumihiko is unaware of the intricacies of his ability and learning them would likely have a negative effect on them, so he stumbles through with a grin. Fumihiko does think slapstick is funny, but would never kill a person, so the comedy can be violent but won't cause death. Monsters, on the other hand, he will casually obliterate for a gag. He usually shrugs off damage like a cartoon. It's possible people can survive deadly events near him, because he doesn't find that funny, but that's just speculation.

He occasionally breaks the fourth wall, but it's not his main deal.

His main method of combat is using Comedian, but he's no slouch in physical traits, being able to kick a dude through a building and survive similar abuse himself, even without Comedian.
